Rev. Elijah V.D. Toney was born in Forest City, Arkansas, to parents Terry D. Toney and Inez Toney. At an early age, his parents relocated to the north, and as a result, was reared in the inner-city of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Through every experience good and bad, the Lord was literally equipping and developing him for a predetermined destiny of kingdom service.
He was called to preach the gospel in 1999. Since that time, Rev. Toney’s steps have been ordered by God’s holy word & several prophetic words of encouragement. One of his favorite passages of scripture is Psalm 121:1, which says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” His love for the Lord and his passion to follow the Lords leading have been the driving force behind his ministry to date!

Rev. Toney Has A Passion For Empowering Every Generation.
He has a unique gift to reach and connect with the younger generation. That gift is exactly what the Lord has used to engage another generation with the love of the God. This preacher believes that our young people need to hear the truth of God’s love in a world that is saturated with deceptive voices.
Rev. E. Toney Has Had The Privilege Of Closely Watching And Soaking Up Wisdom From One Of God’s Choice Servant Leaders
Since his relocation to Macon Georgia in 2006, he has been under the tutelage and ministry training of his pastor and uncle, Pastor Ronald G. Toney; pastor of Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church in Macon GA. While serving in ministry at Lizzie Chapel, Rev. E. Toney has had the privilege of closely watching and soaking up wisdom from one of God’s choice servant leaders. Over the last 15 years, Rev. E. Toney has been able to observe, retain, and now apply the valuable knowledge acquired during that season to his new assignment.
It Is His Sincere Prayer That God Would Use This Union Between Pastor And People To Advance His Kingdom In The Soperton Community
Rev. Toney is excited about his recent calling to pastor Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Soperton, Georgia. It is his sincere prayer that God would use this union between pastor and people to advance his kingdom in the Soperton community. Rev. Toney is confident God will be able to use Mt Zion through hearts that are full of genuine love and a desire to serve the Lord to impact a dying world with the good news of Jesus Christ!
